Staff and students at Birkdale High School were delighted to celebrate another set of fantastic results at GCSE and in vocational qualifications.

Gareth Banks, Headteacher, said: “ We are so proud of all of our pupils who received their GCSE results today. They worked incredibly hard and demonstrated amazing determination and resilience throughout their studies and examinations. The result of this work is some truly exceptional results for both the pupils and the school as a whole. I would also like to pay tribute to the fantastic hard work, dedication and expertise demonstrated by the teachers and all who work at Birkdale High School. We wish all the boys the best of luck in the future and wish them well as they embark on their next stage of their educational journey.”

Paul Blott, Chair of Governors, said: ”We are all pleased and proud to celebrate another great set of results. As Governors we want to congratulate all the pupils on their achievements and also thank our staff for their relentless support and dedication. We are passionate about the benefits of an all-boys education and feel privileged to see how it positively impacts on the success of our pupils. We wish them all the very best for the start of the new stage of their journey.”

There were some outstanding individual achievements, including the following boys who achieved 8 or more grades at 7 or above: Edward Beadell, Daniel Benge, Liam Chau, Oliver De Belle, Taylor Fensom, James Garnett, Harry Gregory, Alex Haikalis, Henry Leonard, Jacob Lowery, Reece Mercer, Bilal Patel, Jacob Rose, Jamal Ruffai, Jethro Seng, Daniel Tierney, Alexander Virgo, Nicholas Wiggett, Alexander Woods, Szymon Zaleskiewicz and Lucas Zeniou.
